Felis Romania Clarification

We were deeply surprised and disappointed to find out, from the FIFe Board Minutes from 24.08.2024, of the unjust complaint submitted by Felis Moldova’s president to the FIFe Board.

As we could read on the FIFe website, the complaint falsely claims that Felis Romania was supposedly part of a coalition alongside Ukraine and Lithuania against Felis Moldova!

Felis Moldova’s allegations was that we would have scheduled on purpose our 2025 spring show on 23-24 March to coincide with their show.

It would seem that all of Felis Romania’s advocating in favor of Moldova’s full membership in FIFe was forgotten, including our members large attendance over the years at Felis Moldova’s shows and also our BIS cages donation for them.

Felis Romania’s permanent main goal was to promote FIFe awareness in our part of Europe in the last decade and more.

We always aim to find comfortable event show locations for both exhibitors and visitors in order to develop and consolidate FIFe’s image and position in our geographic area.

Felis Romania’s commitment to FIFe values is always supported by our continuous actions to help the neighboring FIFe shows.

We always advise and encourage our breeders to participate in FIFe shows organized in the surrounding countries.

Each time we also try - as much as possible - to plan the dates of our shows in such a manner that they do not overlap with the others shows organized by FIFe members around us.

It is a fact that it isn’t easy to always find available  show halls compatible with our needs, but each time we go through considerable effort to take competing dates into account.

By consequence and in the light of all of the above consideration, Felis Romania decided to reschedule the 2025 spring show for 11-12 May, with all the involved costs by the loss of the advance payment for the show venue and the discomfort caused to the already invited judges by this cancellation.

It seems that favorable odds were on the side of our decision and all of the referees we had originally invited were fully available to participate in the rescheduled show as well.

Our decision was made in support of the Moldavian  breeders and in consideration of the fact that this complaint is ridiculous and doesn’t reflects their  point of view.

With deep disappointment

FELIS ROMANIA
